Wrought Iron Furniture Collection – WorldCopperSmith Series

Concept / Idea

This project involved the creation of a complete wrought iron furniture collection — a handcrafted-inspired line designed for luxury interiors and architectural-grade manufacturing.

The collection showcases 33 unique SKUs, each derived from three core design languages:

1. Square Pipe Series – linear, architectural, and structured.
2. Round Pipe Series – classic wrought iron curves and ornamental rhythm.
3. Flat Iron Series – minimalist industrial character with sleek geometry.

Each piece was developed to reflect a cohesive brand identity, balancing craftsmanship with manufacturability while keeping the metal detailing, curvature, and joinery elegant and consistent across the entire line.

Objectives

• Design 33 models across 3 distinctive styles (square, round, flat iron).
• Simplify and reinterpret traditional wrought iron aesthetics into modern, production-friendly forms.
• Ensure consistency in scale, proportion, and visual language across all furniture types.
• Deliver clean, high-quality 3D models and renders for catalog and product visualization.

Process

Developed entirely in SketchUp and Blender, with final rendering in V-Ray and post-processing in Adobe Photoshop.

Workflow summary:

• Used client-provided inspiration sheets and Excel scope file as the base (33 items).
• Built 3 main stylistic frameworks, then extended each to multiple typologies:
• Round / Rectangular Dining Tables
• Console Tables
• Coffee & End Tables
• Bar Tables
• Chairs & Stools
• Defined metal thickness and pipe curvature per collection style.
• Created simplified wood tops for material reference; focus placed on wrought iron form.
• Delivered test renders and iterative previews for feedback rounds.
• Incorporated client’s design revisions — resizing tabletops, adjusting leg curvature, simplifying backrests, and refining proportions for manufacturability.

Outcome / Key Features

• 33 fully modeled furniture pieces, optimized and ready for production reference.
• Defined three unified design themes with shared material palette (iron + wood).
• Realistic renders showcasing clean studio lighting and material realism.
• Each model maintains distinct character while adhering to brand coherence.
• Approved and finalized for client’s WorldCopperSmith Iron Collection 2024 catalog.
